Car Metal Work

Traditional coachbuilding, precise welding and hand-finished panels—restoring strength, shape and the crisp detail of the original body.

Traditional coachbuilding

Shape restored. Strength renewed.

Good metal work begins beneath the surface. We open affected areas methodically, remove corrosion completely and preserve sound original material wherever possible.

Replacement sections are shaped in-house from steel or aluminium, using hand tools, formers and the English wheel. Every panel is repeatedly trial-fitted before careful welding, planishing and preparation for paint.

  • Structural rust removal and invisible repair
  • Hand-formed steel and aluminium panels
  • Sill, floor, bulkhead and chassis reconstruction
  • MIG, TIG and gas welding to suit the original construction
  • Panel beating, planishing and metal finishing
  • Trial fitting, shut-line correction and paint preparation
From sheet to shape

Crafted by hand. Fitted by eye.

Every repair is approached as part of the complete body. Strength, contour and panel fit are developed together so the finished work looks original—not merely repaired.
